The bad news is that Pool Doctor can’t support shocking with dichlor (sorry!).
The good news is that my new app, pooldash , can. Just select the Default Dichlor recipe after creating your pool.
The short reason for this is:
Shocking your pool with dichlor causes the Cyanuric Acid levels to spike
The chemical calculation engine in Pool Doctor doesn’t handle this type of side-effect well
The recipe system in pooldash is built specifically to account for this stuff
More info here: Shock with dichlor?
Does it support Trichlor?

Hey @paullomax , welcome to the forum!
To clarify, do you have granular trichlor?
Most of the time when I see trichlor, it’s in compressed into the little pucks or discs, which take a long time to dissolve (which makes them bad for shocking).
If you do have trichlor shock, I could try and find the dosing for you.
I have pucks, and granular. But you’re right, it’s probably not great for shocking as it would increase the cyanuric acid levels each time…
